Three cotton towels with a stripe woven from dyed yarn rather than printed on top, so the colour is the thread itself. A loop is sewn into one corner. They take up water at the sink without holding it so long that they are still damp on the hook at breakfast.

Materials
One hundred per cent cotton with a yarn-dyed woven stripe, fifty by seventy centimetres, sewn hanging loop, in a set of three.
Care
Machine wash hot, tumble dry. Wash them before the first use — new cotton pushes water around until the mill finish comes out, which is what makes a fresh towel seem to repel the washing-up.
